Methods: We carried out the adaptation process according to the international literature. I'm not responding only directly at you, I'm just getting all of this off of my chest at once. Aim: Methodological study that aimed to adapt the Satisfaction with Appearance Scale (SWAP) into Brazilian Portuguese language and to assess the validity, the reliability and the dimensionality of the adapted version in a sample of Brazilian burn victims. When I see a curvy, voluptuous, strong female character in a revealing outfit, it's a whole different non-sexual part of my brain that thinks "Wow, she is bad-ass!". Maybe if she was wearing a gimp costume with holes in it or fought with dildos or explicitly had sex I'd call it sexualized, but there's nothing in WoW that I would call "sexualized", really. I really hate when people throw around the term "sexualized" for curvy female characters. That's like if a woman said the Orcs or Humans were sexualized because of their large muscles.Īlso, "sexy" doesn't equal "sexualized". Sure they're curvy (their breasts still aren't big) but what about them is sexual? If a woman has curves she's sexual? And some people also don't realise that there are women who like to play as sexy and curvy women, some people just see the character as hot so they just think they're sexualized. I wouldn't even consider the most curvy race, Draenei, sexual. Which characters are currently based around sex-appeal? There's already Gnomes, Trolls, Undead, Tauren and Pandaren, and arguably Dwarves, Goblins and Orcs that aren't considered "sexy", let alone based around sex appeal. The Salarian people are generally more interested in research and science than anything, but they are far from pacifistic. Given that there are already so many that circulate around sex-appeal so that it's not even funny.Okay, stuff like this has bothered me since I first started going on gaming sites. There is no need for sex appeal in a warrior race - it is rather arguable that it is more important with LESS sex appeal in at least ONE race.
